Dr. Chris Metcalf completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University before attending dental school at the University of Illinois in Chicago, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1996. He continues his education frequently, including a Spear Education course in Airway Prosthodontics in February 2019 and November 2018. He has also received advanced training in cosmetic and implant dentistry, laser surgery, and facial esthetics.
Dr. Metcalf is a third-generation dentist. His family has been in dentistry for over 80 years, and his father, grandfather and uncle were also dentists. As a dentist, his goal is to provide conservative care that will keep his patients healthy, promoting not only oral health but helping them to take care of their overall well-being. He is dedicated to helping his patients understand the connection between the mouth and overall health, and loves being part of helping people live longer, healthier lives with beautiful smiles.

Dr. Metcalf has been married for over 25 years, and has two sons and one daughter. He loves the outdoors and is interested in fitness, and has raced sailboats with his father and brother for over 40 years.
Melissa serves as director of operations and has been a part of Metcalf Dental since February 2012. She is usually the first smiling face that will welcome you when you enter our office. Melissa has vast experience in patient coordination and scheduling, and insurance and patient account management. She is proud of the friendly and warm environment that is uniquely Metcalf Dental.
When not working, Melissa enjoys running, working out, baking, the beach and spending time with her husband and children.
Since Stephanie was 8 years old, she knew she wanted to be in the dental field. After working as an orthodontic assistant, she obtained her degree in applied Sciences in dental hygiene along with certifications in administration of local anesthetic and nitrous oxide.
Stephanie joined Metcalf Dental in the summer of 2017 and is the lead dental hygienist. She prides herself in the quality of her work and her ability to educate patients regarding their oral health and that connection to the body. Stephanie is continually expanding and building upon her dental knowledge so that she may provide the optimal, yet tailored, standard of care to each patient. She builds a solid rapport with every patient and is particularly gifted in helping ease any dental anxiety you may have.
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, exploring Chicago, working out and hiking.
Margaret has been an essential part of Metcalf Dental since 2015. She began her dental career as our sterilization coordinator and then incorporated assisting Dr. Chris part time. Margaret now serves as our lead dental assistant.
When not in the office, Margaret enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Barbara graduated from Fox College dental hygiene school in 2018.
She is patient-focused, driven to provide a personable experience along with the highest quality of care possible. Barbara enjoys building relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of their overall oral health. She has experience and advanced training in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and laser therapy.
In her free time, she loves to explore new places as well as spending time with family and friends.
